In-site
In-site was outgrowing its broadband connection. A large part of its customer offering uses the Internet as a delivery mechanism, from updating software to running online sales demonstrations. It needed a cost-effective alternative to traditional, ADSL broadband.
Real Radio
Real Radio is a commercial radio station and part of the GMG Radio group. It is made up of five large stations across the UK, including the first national commercial station for Wales, Real Radio. GMG Radio is one of Britain’s leading radio businesses encompassing the Real Radio, Smooth Radio and Real Radio XS brands.
Anglesey dad in touch with the world at last
Llangefni dad, David Parry, has been surfing the Internet since 1994 – but very, very slowly. Now he and his family have superfast links to the modern world from their home at Lon Cae Cwta on the outskirts of town, thanks to the FibreSpeed network and a rural link provided by pioneering Welsh broadband company eXwavia.

Treddyn Community

FIBRESPEED LTD

FibreSpeed Ltd operates the wholesale open access network which brings affordable high speed communications services to businesses across North Wales. This is through a 320km network of optical fibre cabling, connecting Holyhead in Anglesey, Caernarfon in Gwynedd, along the North Wales corridor and down to Wrexham, and linking to the UK’s fibre backbone in Manchester.

FibreSpeed Ltd is owned by Geo Networks Ltd and aims to help deliver the Welsh Assembly Government’s vision of stimulating economic growth and encouraging enterprise in the region by giving North Wales’ businesses access to the UK’s most modern communications infrastructure. It will also create a vibrant new retail market for service providers, who will be able to sell affordable voice and data services in the region for the first time using FibreSpeed infrastructure.

 

       VISION

   An individual who is capable of developing a web of relationships across complex organisations, stimulating interest and following through to direct and indirect conclusive sale closure.

   An experienced and flexible commercial person who is able to lead and influence thought on commercial drivers for a specialist model for high capacity and dedicated fibre networks, with excellent underlying technical understanding. 



PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES


         Identify market opportunities and develop Business Cases for investment in network extensions.

         Deliver private sector investment to support business cases.

         Manage the Welsh Assembly Government account for investments.

         Engage local stakeholders to develop new opportunities and potential to joint share on infrastructure schemes. 

         Support Business Development & Relationship Manager on customer opportunity developments.



KEY SKILLS


         Proven track record in developing relationships and influencing senior decision makers.

         Customer facing presentation, negotiation and commercial decision making abilities.

         Excellent understanding of market trends and financial drivers for IT investment.

         Excellent communicator including interpersonal and presentation skills.

         Welsh language speaker (preferred)
